Take a moment to meet the friendly faces that make our program so special. From their charming quirks to their loving nature, these ponies are more than just companions—they’re a vital part of the Duncan Creek experience. Ready to get to know them? Let’s introduce you to our beloved ponies!

Violet (Vio)
The best of the best. Vio is the ultimate beginner pony. She excels in helping young riders learn to steer. She encourages kids to be gentle with the reins and to not use them for balance. Great for kids learning walk, trot, and canter.

Junebug (JB)
JB is stout, sturdy, and small. Absolutely adorable and absolutely safe. JB isn’t going anywhere in a hurry. For beginners he is most easily ridden following behind another pony. When the student is ready to take off on their own he’s happy to walk, trot, canter, and pop over little cross rails.

Onyx
Technically a miniature horse and not a pony Onyx might just be the cutest face on the farm! Onyx is an excellent lead line pony for the smallest of riders and an absolute hoot to ride for the slightly bigger kids. He has plenty of get up and go and is happy to walk, trot, canter, and jump cross rails.

Rocket
Moving up in size slightly Rocket is your step up pony. For newer students she’s an excellent teacher on the lunge line. More advanced students enjoy her more forward ride off the line. Rocket is the one who really tickles that jumping itch and can take kids around a real jumpers course.

Buttons
Owned by a student Buttons is available for a few lessons a week. She is the steady eddy every program needs. She is great for older beginners who are getting a little too big for our smaller size ponies. Buttons is a jack-of-all-trades who can teach a beginner how to post and take more experienced riders around a jumping course.

Ellie
Our newest addition is Ellie, an adorable Haflinger mare. Ellie comes to us with a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to try just about anything. She’s still learning to use her body after needing pretty significant rehab on her feet but we’re confident she’s going to be a great addition.
